Not all deliveries go to plan... Yacht Delivery Uk has been waiting for a weather window to deliver a beautiful Hanse 375 from France up to Scotland for the last 3 weeks now. Unfortunately, this time of year (December) is notoriously bad around the UK for some decent weather. It is either freezing cold and no wind or blowing a gale.
We have been sitting waiting for several weeks now but hop to get on her way in the next few days. The Hanse 375 is a l...
So 2016 is finally coming to a close, We at Yacht delivery Uk have had our busiest year to date with over 30 yachts successfully delivered. I'm proud to say that virtually all of them went to plan which when your dealing with sailing boats and weather is pretty good going. We had one catamaran stuck in Portugal for just over a week due to a mechanical issue, and had another catamaran which we had to abort due to on going leaks. The first Cat was docked...
Last weekend we had the privilege of sailing the brand new Contest 57cs from the "London on Water" luxury boat show back to the amazing city of Amsterdam. We arrived at St Katherine's Dock at 11am Sunday morning immediately seeing the large Contest mast and flags sitting proud above all other masts. The boat was docked in a lovely berth just outside the cafes that line the dockside. The sun was out as were half of London it seemed, all taking in the...
Sailing in the Mediterranean has for years been painted as the perfect picture with its moderate weather and fairly peaceful atmosphere with very few reports of piracy or any such insecurity. However today that picture is changing especially for boat delivery. It is becoming or has become increasingly unsafe to sail a new boat in these waters.
Experts have warned that the situation in the Middle East, especially in Syria and North Africa, is bound to cr
So we are fast approaching the busy season for yacht deliveries. Here at Yacht Delivery Uk we are striving to always increase our custom base and service offered. We are aware our website is a bit dated now and we are in talks with various designers to come up with a new site. The goal for the new site is to offer clear concise information, advising of exactly how our process works but without over complicating it. We will be pleased to offer the first...
Our latest delivery was a very successful trip from Dubrovnik to Nice. We started on the 6th June and made good progress making Naples by the 12th and Nice by the 15th. The skipper arrived at Dubrovnik a couple of days in advance of the crew to ensure the boat was up to speed and made some very necessary repairs/changes to the boats set up. The clients were very appreciative of an experienced sailor making some slight yet vital changes to the boat in order
We have just recently completed a delivery of a Bavaria 390 from Croatia to Nice. The journey took best part of 2 weeks but everything went to plan and the owners were yet again very happy customers. The Bavaria 390 is a great yacht to deliver. It was fully equipped with AIS, Autopilot and Radar allowing for full 24 hour sailing. We made 2 stops, firstly in Messina, then Naples to re stock but other than that it was plain sailing... Literally. When de...
This blog is an insight as to what we have planned and our companies ethos to attracting and winning new business.

We are continually improving our service and processes and plan to launch a new modern website later this year. Hopefully it will offer instant on-line quotes which is something n...
I managed to get a couple of hours sleep on and off, although i was conscious the seas were growing and could here the wind picking up in the rigging. I woke at about 11 pm hearing a now huge wind outside and with the boat heeled over so far that it was almost impossible to sleep. I was laying with my feet to the port side and head starboard. It meant that as the boat heeled over on its side, the port side wall would become the floor and i would take the w...
